Today we will show you how to make a healthy vegan doughnut with pumpkins. Sound good? Well, it would once we show you the ingredients.
To make a pumpkin doughnut, you will need:
• 1½ cup of white whole-wheat flour
• 1 tablespoon of baking powder
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• ½ cup of pumpkin
• ½ cup of coconut oil or canola oil
• Flax eggs (2 tablespoons of ground flax seeds mixed with five tablespoons of hot water)
• ½ cup of unsweetened almond milk
• 1 teaspoon of vanilla
• ½ cup of maple syrup
First, the golden rule of baking, preheat your oven. Select the temperature to 400 degrees. Now take all the dry ingredients and put it in a mixer. Run it for a couple of seconds and stop. Do it 2 – 3 times. Then add the wet ingredients in it. And again mix them with regular intervals. One thing to keep in mind is that your baked product is just as good as you mixed it. So always try to make the batter way too smooth. That will give you a fluffy and soft doughnuts.
After the batter is ready, take the doughnut pan and grease it with oil. Then put the mixture into the pan, put it in the preheated oven. Bake it for 15 to 20 minutes depending on your oven. Do not ever try to over bake the doughnuts. Somewhat under bake them, as they will continue to be baked even after taking them out of the oven. Put in a toothpick and see if it comes out clean. If it does, dive in.
